“BEST EXHIBITION OF THE YEAR”

La mostra ‘Proportio’, allestita al Palazzo Fortuny di Venezia dal 9 maggio al 22 novembre 2015, è stata decretata ‘Best exhibition of the year 2015’ nell’ambito dei ‘Leading Culture Destinations Awards’ – gli ‘Oscar dei musei’ – la cui cerimonia di premiazione si è svolta venerdì scorso a Londra.
Organizzata dalla Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia e dalla Fondazione Axel e May Vervoordt, l’esposizione – curata da Daniela Ferretti e Axel Vervoordt – ha esplorato secondo un approccio multi-disciplinare applicato all’arte, alla scienza, alla musica e all’architettura, l’onnipresenza delle ‘proporzioni universali’ o ‘divine proporzioni’, così come venivano definite in un trattato di Luca Pacioli illustrato da Leonardo e stampato a Venezia nel 1509.
Conclusasi con grande successo di critica e pubblico PROPORTIO ha completato la straordinaria serie di mostre Artempo (2007), In-finitum (2009), TRA (2011) e Tàpies. Lo Sguardo dell’artista (2013), riavviando un dialogo contemporaneo attorno alla conoscenza perduta della ‘proporzione’ attraverso opere espressamente commissionate sul tema ad artisti quali ad esempio Marina Abramovic, Massimo Bartolini, Michael Borremans, Francesco Candeloro, Marta Dell’Angelo, Maurizio Donzelli, Riccardo De Marchi e Izhar Patkin, i cui lavori sono stati esposti accanto a quelli di Carl André, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Luciano Fabro, Alberto Giacometti, Anish Kapoor, Ellsworth Kelly, Sol Lewitt, Agnes Martin, Fausto Melotti, Mario Merz, Ad Ryman e Bill Viola, oltre ad alcuni reperti egiziani, a una serie di dipinti architettonici degli antichi maestri olandesi, a uno splendido ritratto di Botticelli e una scultura monumentale di Antonio Canova.
Nuovo radar mondiale nell’ambito della cultura e del turismo, il ‘Leading Cultural Destination Award’ è stato creato per identificare gli ‘attori chiave’ tra i musei e istituzioni non-profit del mondo, mettendo in luce luoghi ed eventi che hanno una influenza particolare, sviluppando una visione creativa e costruttiva dell’ arte, della cultura e del turismo.
